TUCSON – The Arizona Wildcats women’s basketball team may have lost to California (78-74) in an overtime thriller, but after coming back from a 12 point halftime deficit to force it into overtime, head coach Niya Butts can’t help but be pleased with their effort.
Arizona was down 44-32 going into halftime. But thanks to some added energy and their three point shot accuracy increase, the Wildcats scored 36 points and held Cal to only 24 points to force overtime. Unfortunately Cal came out on top.
