Soccer Shootout actions kicks off in Tucson Friday night - KOLD-TV
TUCSON, AZ (KOLD) - The 22nd Annual Tucson Association of Realtor's Shootout gets underway in Tucson Friday night.
It's a major soccer tournament in the Southwest and the largest youth soccer event in Southern Arizona, with more than 5,000 player, coaches and family members attending.
It's a big money maker for the region. Over the next three days it's expected to bring in $3.1 million to the local economy.
The tournament officially gets underway Friday at 6 PM at Fort Lowell Park with the parade of athletes. Soccer Olympics start at 7 PM with players competing in shooting, juggling, dribbling, and accuracy shooting.
Tournament action begins Saturday morning at 38 fields across Tucson.
